Halloweenies!

With Steve being the HOT DOG king of Grand Rapids, we have dressed all of our kids up as a hot dog for Halloween - some enjoyed it more than others... Today was Charlie's turn & I thought I'd post one of each of our weenies!

Almost Halloween!

The kids are buzing - thanks in part to the bags of candy Mimi & PopPop brought over last night for the kids. Somehow Cody & Lindsey seem to have found a way to reach them & chose candy for breakfast today... It should be a fun (& cold) morning for us as we leave for Gymco- Wish me luck!

Junior League

I rarely post without it being kid-based. I guess that has more than a little something to do with my focus these days! I just got home from another Junior League New Member meeting (that is my committee for this year)& had a ton of fun with the new girls & the pumpkin competition. It has been a pretty busy fall & on more than one occasion I have been tempted to "call in" for my JL duties, but every time I pry myself out of the house I am glad I did. It has been great meeting 13 new women that I look foward to volunteering with & probably grabbing a drink with too!

Go GREEN!

With the upcoming MSU / UM game this weekend, Cody's school had Sports Day today with a little emphasis on the battle between good & evil, or green & blue. Of course I dressed Cody in some of his Spartan finest & he brought his MSU football for show & tell. I left thinking that Big Daddy would be so proud of his little green grandson... When I came back for pick-up, I could hear Cody & his classmates chanting "Go Hoosiers!" down the hallway. Apparently Steve has really brainwashed Cody into Hoosier Happiness - It does help Steve's cause that Cody loves anything red, but we really need to draw the line somewhere! I'll keep working on him - - - GO State!

I'm tired out after a week with a cold, sick kids, a little bit of Junior League, chaperoning today's fieldtrip to the Children's Museum, etc. but I had to post these pumpkin pictures-

First Tooth!

My little pumpkin finally sprouted a tooth! Maybe this will mean I'll be getting a break from our late night / early morning dates...until the next one is ready to (SLOWLY) burst through!

Halloween Party @ Gilda's Club

On Saturday, I brought Cody (& Gigi) along with me to Gilda's Club. It was their Halloween NoogieFest & the Junior League girls staff the parties. My friend Susan & I were working the Boo Bingo table upstairs while Gigi & Cody the Cow played downstairs in NoogieLand. Christina had a bat specialist come and teach the kids all about bats & he showed us a few too....The biggest bat in the world with a 6 ft/ wingspan - YIKES! That heebied me out a little bit!

Classic Krispy Kreme Sunday with the SOETS

Today we stopped by Krispy Kreme so the kids could finally get some pumpkin doughnuts. I only took a few pictures, but they totally captured each kids in their current phase -

Super happy, already always trying to be like Cody & Lindsey, the only one of my kids that ever had a doughnut at 8months (before stealing his brother's sippy of OJ to wash it down with), apparently another Soet with a doughnut weakness...

FALL FUN at the orchard & the pumpkin patch!

We had a great Saturday with Gigi, Aunt Terri, Melissa, & the kids picking apples, playing in the pumpkin patch, feeding the goats, & of course, eating the doughnuts!

None of the cute 8mo. pictures actually shows his cute little 8mo. onesie...He is very into barrel rolling around & crawling - which don't make for great onesie pictures! He can't quite crawl away yet. He gets it for a second and then can't figure it out again. I am soaking up every last minute of gate free living! -I'm sure it won't last long!

six years

Today is our 6th anniversary! It was a very LONG day with the kids & I tried to get too many things crossed off the perpetual list during their naps & after they went to bed...I'm beat!
So with that being said, I'm too tired to write much about today other than I can't believe how full my life with Steve has been & that he is still the Meat Man of my dreams!
