Girls Day!

Today was Lindsey's day with Mom! We went to the gym, played basketball with Dad, and then our next hour or so was up to her...Lindsey's choice: A carwash, a HappyMeal with an orange drink brought to our favorite chips & cheese place, and a big bag of fruit snacks from Bed, Bath, & Beyond. We had a great day just being the girls!

Back to Big Star Lake -

We spent a great weekend at the lake with Gigi, Mimi & PopPop! It took all of us to keep up with the kids! Lindsey & Cody were in and out of the lake all weekend long - they LOVE to swim & splash!

Enjoying a bonfire once our tribe went to bed!

Charlie was selling tickets to the gun show!

Steve, Mimi & Cody took advantage of the rather extreme wind to fly kites. Cody was too cute holding on to his string - Very fun!

Reading smut books with mom in the sun - He is such a sweetie!

Until next weekend...

Happy Father's Day!

It wasn't exactly easy to get all three of them to hold their letter in the right order & smile...then again, what is exactly easy with three kids this little???

Happy Father's Day to our Dad, Big Daddy, & PopPop!

We love you - xoxo

UNCLE MIKE!!!!

I took the kids to the airport today to surprise Uncle Mike! He is briefly in town for his 20th HS reunion & the kids were so excited to see him. They were in awe of the airport & all of the construction. He was surprised to see a little cheering section waiting for him to come down the hall.... It was FUN on an otherwise rainy, dreary day!

Happy Birthday Gigi!

Happy Birthday GIGI! We love you & the kids seem to love cake just as much as you do!

Gigi is always trying to get a cute picture of her with all 3 kids - - - not an easy task. the Soet kids rarely pose for a picture, but we'll keep trying!

MI Adventure for the Meat Man Picnic

The annual company picnic at Michigan's Adeventure was last weekend & we had a great day at the park! It was the first year that the kids really got into the rides & the junk food. Lucky for me, we got to skip the water park - that can be next year's adventure! Nothing like being the boss's wife when you're bent over in your swim suit chasing kids....Ahh, next year!

We cruised in cars, boats, and an uncomfortbale whale named Winky. We got spun around in drums & played a few games in the arcade area too. FUN! FUN! FUN!

Our Post-Potty Training Adventures-

Lockdown is totally over! What a terrible time - at least it seems to have been worth it! No accidents to report! She is officially a big kid! So now that we can finally leave the kitchen we had lots of adventures to catch up on!

-The first priority on Cody's list was hitting the firetruck park for the first time this year. Thank God for Kortney's help - 3 little kids at a park is a lot of work!!! It gets easier, right?

-Then we visited Big Daddy at Centennial - rode the golf carts, palyed pickle ball, & ate ice cream!

-We had ice cream treats, bubble guns & mini golf cart rides at Mimi & PopPop's house

-Today we visited the Carpentier's house (where Kort is living for a month or two) & bounced a lot, saw the animals & the barn & made friends with Mazie!

Then Cody & Mazie herded the goats...Very funny to watch!

So now I am packing up for a day at the cottage, the company picnic at Michigan's Adventure, the annual neighborhood party, & Kortney's birthday...Lots of work & hopefully lots of fun to post about next!

What a day!

So I was expected a few more days of battling a very grumpy 3 year old before she would ever actually poop on the potty...Today was nothing I ever expected! She was a complete devil this morning - COMPLETE! Just when I had reached my limit of Lindsey & sat down in the other room to check in on the View, she pooped! So she pooped, we all celebrated & then in a few hours, she pooped again! YEAH - after poop #2, she wanted to take a picture of her with her poopy potty to send to Miss Wendy at Booty Camp. She was unwrapping Starburst (her potty treat rewards) & I reached for the camera. Suddenly the poop was GONE! Next to the completely empty potty was Chubs....HOW SICK!

I'm sure if any of you run into me or the kids anytime soon they will fill you in on the "Chubs ate Lindsey's poop" story! Cody thinks it is hysterical! It would be really funny to me too if Chubs weren't my dog, living in my house!

So aside from the feces feast, it was a monumental day - clean undies, no accidents & poop in the potty! Lindsey just might be potty trained after all! In that case, it only took 5 days. I hate even seeing that typed out because it looks so simple - 5 days, that's all! It was the longest, most tiring 5 days ever!

2 Soets out of diapers, 1 more to go!

3 Soets in a Tub!

Potty Training - Day 3 Update

So it has been an awfully draining couple of days! At least I can report some success! It has been an ugly fight- stuck in our kitchen with no TV, music, etc. but as of today, Lindsey seems to be peeing in the potty! I have a feeling #2 will be an even bigger battle this week!

the boys come to visit Linds at the gate - Sometimes they are sweet & encouarging & other times they seem to taunt her with mentions of TV shows, treats, and toys...

Pretty sure that "Bun-Bun" is Lindsey's favorite reward!
