Potty Party - Day 1

6 am & we were off to West Chicago to re-visit Miss Wendy & attend Booty Camp with our Pull-ups wearing Lindsey. Gigi came along for emotional support- Thank you!

We got a little bit lost on our way there - That "little bit lost" led us into the Southside of Chicago! What an educational field trip! Thank goodness it was still fairly early in the morning & therefore there weren't too many people out wandering yet.

By the time we got to Booty Camp, we were anxious to get this process started. It was a LONG day! Miss Wendy did a lot of teaching me how to better talk to Lindsey & set up a good potty training environment at home for her. She never went #1 or #2 the whole time we were there - junk food, juice boxes & all...

We hit the road & by the time we were out of Miss Wendy's neighborhood, Lindsey was asking me to pull over so that she could go potty! ***Check out the picture below! Loved the sign adn we didn't even pull in there on purpose!** Exciting progress...Not really! In the end, we stopped about 12-13 times along the way without having anything to empty out of that potty! For those of you keeping track, that put Lindsey at 15 hours of eating, drinking & sitting on the potty WITHOUT going at all!

At about 9:50, she was beyond tired, freaking out, full of sh*t & screaming for a Pull-up when she essentially fell on to her potty & peed! It was a victory after a long day! She won back her Bun-Bun, a pack of princess fruit snacks & we all went to sleep not feeling so bad about our trek...

Today has been not that different from yesterday - no drive through the ghetto, but as of 5:30pm, nothing is in the potty! I'm not supposed to let her hear me talking about it, so I'll blog! Hopefully I will have better blogs to log as the night goes on!!!

Booty Camp Bound!

So for my 200th post, I will broadcast that yet again I am off to Chicago in the attempt to potty train another Soet child! This (annual) trip will hopefully end the war that Lindsey & I have been tirelessly fighting over the toilet! Wish us luck & look forward to what are bound to be some ridiculous future postings!

Last Day for the kids

Today was the last day at Children's Workshop for the kids. Lindsey's class celebrated with a Teddy Bear Picnic - in the room due to rain... They were so cute with their teddy bears in tote & lunch bags all spread out. I tried to be sneaky and stick around to steal a picture, only to confirm that she went straight for the fruit snacks!

Getting kisses and hugs from Miss Deb & Miss Karen along with his "Hardest Worker" award! He is definitely a little Mini Steve!

ROAR!

Sunday we took the kids to the Grand Rapids public Museum just in time to catch the dinosaur exhibit before it left town. The kids LOVED it! There were giant moving dinosaurs, treehouses, art projects, puzzles, computer games, puppet shows & a dig station. We had fun with all of it!

Fiesta!

Last Saturday Steve & I went to the Junior League cinco de Mayo party to welcome in all of this year's new members. Super fun - great group of girls! Muchos gracias to the McNamaras for hosting our fiesta yet again!
