First trip of the year up to Big Star

We drove up Sunday morning to visit Mimi & PopPop, help get the docks in, and to have some cottage fun!

Memorial Day Weekend 2010

The neighborhood girls started the holiday weekend off right with a girl's pool day at Dawn's - so much fun! Lori snagged free tickets to Daughtry that night, so we all headed downtown for dinner and the concert after soaking up the sun in the pool...Nice day!

<

Saturday we went back to VandeWeele's for a family day at the pool. We swam, cooked some hotdogs, roasted some giant marshmallows that Gigi found for us, and had another great day with great friends!

"This is a BIG deal!"

So the pool is open and Cody was so excited to be all enough this summer to go down the big water slide at Orchard Hills!

He came down the first time and wanted me to grab te camera so he could show Dad because "this is a big deal"! So glad to finally have "big kids"!

Long Over Due Pictures from the Spring Fling

I posted pictures of Linds and her class practicing, but forgot all about getting the good ones up here...I t has been that kind of month at our house! It was a super cute show and our little birdie was adorable!!!

He SCORED!

Finally we had a Saturday morning game when it wasn't pouring rain or freezing or at 8:30am (see the pictures above...)!!! It was nice out, sunny, and the whole family was there to watch him and Cody scored his first goal last week! We were all quite proud of him!!!

Fun in the Hood-

Last week was our neighborhood garage sale. the kids happily took home way more than we sold or donated, but I guess that happens when you are the youngest kids in the neighborhood... We had a great weekend selling our junk and having fun with the neighbors!

Cody found treasures in everyone's garages!

Dawn was sweet enough to let me schlep my junk at her house - It was too much hanging out with the girls & "the man" over there - making fun money was a nice bonus, too!

Friday night we hung out at the VanderWeeles - drinks, munchies, roasting marshmellows & lots of fun!

Sheila made Lindsey's night by letting her pick out some "jewels"! Lindsey feels SO fancy & keeps them in a special spot since they came from Miss Sheila!!!

Since I was not nearly as organized as my neighbors, it wasn't until Saturday that I really pulled out most of the stuff I should have been selling the whole time...So, I will cart the rest of my kid stuff over to Ada Woods next weekend and try my luck in Sarah's driveway...Hopefully, I get rid of a few things and have a little fun over there, too!

Practice makes perfect!

Later today, Lindsey will be a little red bird singing up on stage during Children's Workshop's Annual Spring Fling. I peeked in during stage practice on Wednesday and even though I have seen 3 of these productions now, I loved it! You can never tell which kid will cry, work the crowd, pick their nose or like in this practice session, pull their dress up over the head for most of the songs. It is too cute and looking forward to it again!
