Class Trip

Yesterday was Cody's first school field trip! I was of course one of the chaperones & got to go along as the Children's Workshop kids toured the EGR Safety Dept. - Firefighters, firetrucks, police cars, & cops! After all of that we went to the EGR Library for stories & songs. It was so much fun to tag along and really get to know the other kids in Cody's class. He LOVED getting in the trucks & the red dougnut he snagged at Meijer once the field trip was over & we had to pick up dinner!

WIENERMOBILE! We saw it!

A friend of my Aunt Terri's invited us over to check out the WIENERMOBILE! Her daughter & another mobile marketer (wienermobile driver) take it around the country promoting hot dogs everywhere. While I wouldn't recomend Oscar Mayer - it was a site this hot dog family couldn't pass up! Lindsey was scared of the giant wiener (not such a bad thing...) Cody loved it & the little hot dog whistles they gave him, & Charlie was very Charlie about it - Cute & smiley the whole time. HOT DOGS! YUM!

A cherry topped weekend!

I went up to Traverse City this weekend fo my cousin Ryan's wedding. It was great to get a day away - Steve had to stay home and watch the kids. Kortney & I visited & stayed with my UP North pal - Laurie & had a great time! The wedding was a lot of fun & it was nice to be able to see the Johnson family (& Jillian's fmaily too) all having such a great night!

update on the girl who will never go to school-

So if she never goes back to school, it is probably my fault...Of course, what isn't mom's fault? We have too much girl fun while Cody is busy in school! She gets to play with her girlfriend Emmy, try on shoes & even high heels with Aunt Kort & Mom at the mall, & the real topper came this Wednesday when we bought a Little Mermaid dress at TJ Maxx!




As soon as she saw, she ripped it off the hanger and pulled it on over her clothes. Then, she took off running down the mall in full mermaid glory! It was a good day to be 2.5 & a the mall with Mom, Charlie, & Aunt Kort!

preschool update

So I have been really bad about updating everyone on how school is going! Lindsey is officially a preschool drop out for now! She had a huge class & the teachers seemed a bit stretched by all of those kids. She is sticking around with Mom & Charlie & she doesn't seem to mind not going to school too much. We might try it again in January, but it is also nice having a little more Mom & Lindsey time (most days at least!)



Cody is busy in school everyday & LOVING it! So that is great of course, but the dreaded back to school cold bug has hit our house! So far everyone, but Steve has gotten cruddy colds...
